From the I couldn't make this up file. A female student approached me and said, "They say you are a great teacher, but you look so mean. May I sit in on one of your classes?"
I laughed, "Sure, any time."
Student, "And you won't kick me out?"
"Nope," I replied. "But if I were mean I would."
Perhaps she heard about your April Fool's joke to your class?
