Proudly homophobic Congressman Steve King of western Iowa has called for a fence to be built along the Missouri River. He says the fence is needed to keep out Nebraska's gays.
"It's bad enough we have some in the state already. With the Iowa court ruling they'll be coming here in droves," said the Congressman. The 160 mile fence will be paid for by taxing the marriage license for gay couples. The fourth term congressman added, "It's the first tax I've ever supported."
Rep. King also called for electronic surveillance on all bridges. He explained, "They have this device called 'gaydar.' It can detect if someone is trying to smuggle one of them in."
The plan is for the fence to cover only Iowa's western border with Nebraska, not South Dakota. When asked to account for the discrepancy the congressman replied, "The gays are in Omaha. Everyone knows there aren't any gays in the South Dakota."
Ok... I want to know... How much of this is true?!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely HATE this man with an indescribable passion going back to last year and an equally offensive comment he made back then (and for which I promptly emailed him a scathing retort). HOW CAN WE GUARANTEE HE WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER BE ELECTED AGAIN?
ReplyDeleteAlso (and absolutely. completely unrelated), I forgot to answer an earlier question, Steve. You asked if our new police chief was from Marion. No, he is not. He is from Ocala, FL.
