I need uplifting music

Since I am the only liberal under 40 who is not all tingly over today’s ruling I thought I should go back and seek some of the uplifting music that has been submitted.

First there’s “Don’t worry, be happy!” I genuinely love this song. It came out in 1988 and was the theme for RA training at Coe that fall. As a sophomore RA I was WAY stressed out and I *needed* this song.

This entry is from a woman (big surprise). It’s appropriate today because Cyndi Lauper is a huge supporter of gay rights.

Last year she even did a pro-diversity gig on As The World Turns - the soap I grew up on.

  1. Just wanted to say you are NOT "under 40"! I know you crossed it out, but I had to point it out. I'm only a month older than you - so I KNOW how old you really are! And you are showing how old you are by your choice in uplifting music!

  2. Thanks for Cyndi - The song was best used in "To Wong Foo Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar", a movie I really want to go home and watch.
