From the "don't ask how this conversation started" department... I was talking with an American friend here who made a dismissive comment that nobody wears jockstraps anymore. I said, "Really? You play rugby. Nobody on the team wears a cup?"
"Nah," he replied, "head injuries are a bigger worry."
I have to admit, I was curious to know if the athletic supporter had gone the way of VHS. Today's news that Under Armour is recalling 200,000 cups tells me that sales are alive and well.
The same cannot be said for the poor souls whose cups shattered upon impact.
