Taking a pet for a ride?
A friend took these pictures: Two sheep were loaded into a Lexus for their final trip. Later this week is the start of a religious holiday where the pair of luxury riders will become the main course. I had no idea the trunk of a Lexus was so spacious.
When I lived in Al-Ain I lived in a predominantly Arab neighborhood. Last year I totally forgot it was Eid, and went for a walk in my neighborhood that morning. Big mistake -- I really don't enjoy seeing sheep carcasses and various innards casually discarded on the ground, instead of actually in the dumpsters. I quickly walked back home, and ate veg meals for the next couple of days.
