Vanity plates, Emirates style
In the Emirates you can pay extra for a lower numbered license plate. I've heard the two digit ones cost thousands of dollars... which is probably found in the seat cushions of a Lexus SUV.

Steve, that's true for the newer style of plates. For this old style, the single and two digit ones were issued to members of the royal family, so your picture is actually a sheikh's vehicle. 3 digits of this old style is usually for distaff members of the royal family... i.e., related to one of the sheikhas, so powerful, but not royal in their own right.
