Thought for the day - Hell

It is not surprising to me that the religions founded in this region view hell as a hot, burning place. Telling the masses, "Do as I say or you'll live for eternity in the heat of June" would be effective here.

If a religion was founded in Iowa I imagine hell would be that January day with temps below zero and a strong northerly wind...

  1. It's been a very odd summer here in Phoenix so far. The last day we were at or above 100 was June 5th. We are expected to break that streak today. Then, looking at the 15 day forecast, we have this slow, painful hike to 115-120 between now and July 4th. Oh well...at least we've enjoyed the 90's for awhile. Now back to the furnace!

  2. We dodged the heat at the college world series yesterday (thankfully it was an evening game). The heat index had hit 100 during the afternoon, but there was a nice breeze in the stadium, the tornadoes missed us, and the game went to extra innings (though this fact did not please Peggy).

  6. The two Aarons thing is confusing. I'm pretty sure I responded once thinking it was CR Aaron when it was, in fact, Omaha Aaron. It helps when either of you mention your spouse!
