I hope you are able to make it to the fireworks. The hardest days here are the ones where I miss something uniquely Iowan or American. Obviously, the Fourth is one of those.
Today is a personal independence day in that I have finally got skype to work for calling US phone numbers. Yippee!
Of course, now I'm going to have to get up ridiculously early to finish grading quizzes that I should have been grading tonight as I was calling back home.
