It's a used car!
Here's Ann sitting in my parking lot after a test drive. I bought the Sunny in September for $8400. It's not a bad car but thanks to people fleeing the country used cars are now going really cheap. I found this 2001 BMW Z3 for $5400. It is almost a foot more narrow and more than a foot shorter than the Sunny. Given my inability to parallel park I might just make it with this car.
Ann intensely dislikes the color. Mike found a place that does professional painting for around $800. I have mixed emotions. There are tiny dents that I've had pounded out... leaving discoloration. I have heard many, many times that the only color that can never be matched perfectly is red... so would it be better to do it Ann's way and have the whole car repainted?

What are you doing with your other car, btw?
ReplyDeletePersonally, I love the color - but red is one of my favorite colors. I have heard it is almost next to impossible to match - so you might be better off re-painting the whole thing. I'm sure it won't cost much considering how little everything else is!
$5000 for a BMW? No offense, but I hate you. Unless of course, you were planning on giving it to me (and paying for the overseas shipping) when you returned? LOL
Wow! That's about as gay as Christian's Mazda Miata!!!
ReplyDeleteYou suck. That's a gorgeous car.
ReplyDeleteDrive carefully - isn't it a known fact that red attracts the attention of highway patrol? It is a fun looking little thing though!
ReplyDeletePersdonally, I'd grow up and learn to parallel park!!!
ReplyDeleteMiriam, I had heard the same thing too, but after a series of red cars I never met the highway patrol even once.
Sorry Steve - I'm joining the negative criticism here... Why do you need to paint it. Deal with the dents. It's not going to help you in any way socially will it?
