I should have posted! That was my guess, but I wasn't sure. Of course, it's easy to say that now, I guess! I never watched the show when it was actually on - but have watched the re-runs a lot - especially at my parents' house. They love that show!
Having seen the original movie more than 30 times (surpassed only by Funny Girl), I could never get into what I felt was almost a second rate attempt at recreation. So, I have never heard the quote you mentioned. If it was in the original movie, I have long forgotten it.
My parents did NOT like the show at all when it was first on. My dad especially has gotten into it in the last 10 years. He can't believe he didn't like it when it was originally on!
