Lebanese food

There was a request to see pics of the food from the ethnic restaurants. This is from a visit to a Lebanese restaurant. Given the number of Lebanese in Cedar Rapids I'm surprised we don't have one. Or is there one I've been missing for years? Here are our appetizers: Arabic salad (veggies with an oil dressing), to the right of it is baba ganoush (a tangy dip supposedly made from eggplant but I can never taste the eggplant). At the top of the picture is black olives and my favorite dip - Mutabbal. It is also made from eggplant - and you can taste it. I order moutabbal anywhere I can find it. It varies considerably in taste from one place to another. Appetizers here are $2.50. The olives were free.

I have no idea why ethnic restaurants don't include descriptions of the food. I ordered "Escalope chicken" without a clue of what I'd get. Hammer a chicken flat. Put some breading on it and deep fat fry. You'll have escalope chicken.

Ann ordered chicken kabobs that are made of minced chicken meat and flavorings I didn't really care for.
Underneath the various slices of bread is a mixed grill plate of chicken (like Ann's) some lamb, and other mystery meats.
