Don't worry, be happy!

Some have commented that this blog has become depressing.  I have good news:  Bobby McFerrin is coming to Al Ain.  (I should write "allegedly" because Elvis has also placed us a visit.  This Sunday I'll learn if it is the real Bobby Mc Ferrin.)

I am posting his 1988 song and a request from you:  Send me the name of your most uplifting song.  We'll have two categories:  Genuinely gets you going and the motivational songs that make you want to puke.

My e-mail address is stevekranz@aol.com
I look forward to hearing your suggestions and I'll start posting them soon.

  1. I cannot listen to this song without substituting Mike Horton's lyrics to it: "Don't Worry, Drink Heavily". This song REALLY reminds me of the Sip because people would request me to play this song more than almost any other - well, besides Sinatra. I am pretty sure it was number 43 on the jukebox (but I could be wrong).

Sorry but I am in a cranky mood and cannot think of one uplifting song at all. But I am looking forward to hearing some other's thoughts because I could really use an uplifting song right now!

  2. No matter how bad you are feeling, all you have to do is put on "Yakkity Sax" by Boots Randolph, and I dare you to not get a smile on your face!
