Nepal Day 6 - Washing elephants

Every day at 11AM the elephants are walked to the river and given a bath. It's a scratch bath using a coarse rock to wash and scratch off the dirt.
I was surprised at how hairy the elephants were. Perhaps it's just jealousy that this elephant has more hair her head than I do...
My elephant was cantankerous. She'd let me ride for 3 or 4 paces and then throw me off. She seemed to positively enjoy throwing me in the river. The others had nice elephants...
