290,000 <-- a sweet number

I don't have much time but today's news from the labor department is nothing short of fantastic. Not only do they report 290,000 new jobs in April but they also revised up 121,000 jobs from previous months.

Yes, unemployment went UP to 9.9%, but that is also good news: More people are coming back into the labor force looking for work.

Also, the number of temporary jobs is up. Temporary jobs often turn into long term jobs.

Most positive economic news for the past four years has come with a downside. Not today. This is great news!
