Consider that twenty years ago this was one of the few cars people could buy. With the fall of the Soviet Union very few people in Ukraine buy these cars today. Nissan, Toyota, Chevy, and Ford dominate the streets. There were a surprising number of Lexus (Lexi?) on the road.

Is that a Lada?
ReplyDeleteSteve, you should buy one and export it home... I'd love to have one as my daily driver... The repair bills will eat up all my money for other things, but how awesome will it be to drive a 34hp Lada?
I don't know my Russian or Ukrainian cars, sorry. But I don't really think you want one. The ones I saw running were loud and belched out a lot of light blue smoke. Even though they are cheap it is easy to see why Ukrainians won't buy them.
