One massive storm

My Eastern Iowa friend Cristy commented about this storm on FB:  "We have seen worse..."
Probably true, but I commented, "Wow, are you taunting the gods?  :) I'm glad I will not be in Iowa to feel their wrath.  I'll stay here in the safe, err, warm, middle east."

From what I can gather the storm moved a bit more quickly than expected so it didn't dump quite as much snow as it could have.  Regardless this is an impressive picture.

    This is an impressive picture! It is going to be a balmy weekend with highs in the low 30's. But alas, next week, we head back into the deep freeze - Tuesday's forecast is for a high of 0 in North Iowa.
