is going to Denmark to make a pitch for Chicago hosting the 2012 Olympics. I hope this is either a done deal or very close. It would be embarrasing if he makes the personal appeal and then they pick a different site...

Hmmm... I'm not sure if I like this Steve... Isn't there anyone else who could be lobbying for this?
ReplyDeleteEither way, Obama is going to look bad in the eyes of others countries. If you look at it objectively, this makes sense, since he's serving as an advocate for his community. But, if he wins, he "used his power" to get it done, and if Chicago does not get selected, then I agree with you, it's embarrassing...
As a person I respect him for it, I just hope it doesn't work too hard against him politically.
